The company is doing business under the official name Stock company for transportation, tourism and catering “Autosaobraćaj Kragujevac“, and its headquarters is in 70 Kneza Mihaila street in Kragujevac.

   The company’s basic activity is the transportation of passengers in the city/suburb, national and international lines. “Autosaobraćaj AD” can satisfy the transportation needs of the passengers in the municipalities within Šumadija and Pomoravlje region. Maintaining 24 inner city lines (with 773 turns) every day, the company buses connect all parts of Kragujevac with downtown area, and with 116 departures to rural parts of the municipality, the buses connect the city with the surrounding villages.

   Servicing a large number of city-to-city lines, the company buses connect Kragujevac with all major places in Serbia and Montenegro.

   In addition to many departures for Belgrade, we have lines for cities like Sombor, Zrenjanin, Vranje, Užice, etc. As far as Montenegro is concerned, we have lines for Bar and Igalo all year round.

   “Autosaobraćaj AD” has two field offices in Topola and Aranđelovac. In Topola, we service passengers who travel to rural parts of the municipality, while in Aranđelovac we maintain city-to-city transportation of the passengers.

   Additionally, we have two lines on the territory of the Former Yugoslavia: Aranđelovac-Sarajevo and Kragujevac-Banja Luka.

   In regards to international transportation, we hold the following lines: Novi Pazar-Luksemburg, Paraćin-Bazel, Gornji Milanovac-Bazel i Kragujevac–Frankfurt.

   The following international lines, for which we have registered licenses, are in preparation: Kragujevac-Minster, Kragujevac-Salzburg, Kragujevac-Bern and Aranđelovac-Vienna.

   In order to maintain a good quality of transportation services, it was necessary to introduce a series of additional activities that satisfy the needs of our company, and we also offer our services to third parties:

• technical services: regular, occasional and general repair and maintenance of the motor vehicles, repair and maintenance of the electrical devices and maintenance and servicing of the tachometer devices

• business services: overhaul of the vehicles and selling of the basic accident insurance for the vehicles

• tourist services

• catering

• trade

• drivers training and education

Resources

   The total of 144 buses are used for transportation of the passengers in 2004. The inner city transportation is covered by 53 buses, rural transportation includes 40 buses, city-to-city transportation is serviced by 26 buses (seven of which is for international lines), while 14 buses are used in Topola and Aranđelovac.

   “Autosaobraćaj AD” owns other necessary vehicles as well: vehicles for drivers’ education, trucks, tankers, loaders, forklifts, and vehicles needed for functioning of the other departments.

   Other facilities important for the functioning of the transportation activities include:

• indoor workshop (with modern painting and polishing chambers) with the equipment for complete vehicle maintenance – 2.170 square meters in area

• servicing workshop with 750 square meters indoor and 400 square meters outdoor space for servicing and daily vehicle care

• carwash tunnel – 120 square meters

• facility for vehicle overhaul – 250 square meters

• office space with modern equipment for additional activities

• workshop for vehicle body general repair

• bus stations in Kragujevac, Topola, Batočina, Lapovo, Rača and Stragari

   We initiated the process of company ownership transformation in 1993. and today we are Stock company where 60% of the capital is privatized.

   Within its basic activity (passenger transportation), the annual performance of “Autosaobraćaj AD“ is: the mileage of 10 million kilometers and 15 million transported passengers. The results of an evaluation, which indicates that transportation sustainability is over 99%, and development plans based on the real strengths of the company put us among the top five Serbian transportation companies.

   Our vision is to adjust all standards to the European ones, so that we can, after the integration process is over, assume the position on European roads that we deserve.
